Anniversary of Crazy Horse’s murder

On this day, 136 years ago, the great Oglala Lakota warrior Tȟašúŋke Witkó (His-Horse-is-Crazy, or Crazy Horse) was murdered with a bayonet to the back. He was unarmed and bound. After having his land stolen, his family murdered, and his life taken, he was recently honored with a Great Americans postage stamp worth 13 cents.

Our genocide of indigenous people, combined with our targeted destruction of their culture and language, is the most shameful crime in the history of the world, and it continues today. Brave women and men in the Deep Green Resistance, the American Indian Movement, the Deep Roots Collective, and other organizations are fighting to maintain a future for indigenous children. Please consider aiding their struggle with material support or personal involvement.
